MONEY TIP
Change the car game. A car is one of the primary culprits for keeping people poor. Not for you though. It’s ok to be different when it comes to things like this. Making a car payment to yourself in an interest-bearing account until you save enough to pay cash for a car is different. Different is good, especially in this case. Since cars keep so many people poor, what if you did the opposite? You can use your car to earn you money. Many of the greatest side jobs involve driving. From pizza delivery to DoorDash, there are so many ways to earn money with your car.
O
OPPORTUNITY
Want to teach your kids real-life money lessons in a way they’ll actually retain? Cashflow for Kids is a great board game to do exactly that. We’ve had the game for years and the kids love playing it. It builds a different mindset from a young age.

MINIMALISM TIP
The idea of downsizing your entire home is daunting. So start with one room. If you’re feeling completely engulfed in clutter, start with an easy room, like the guest bedroom. If you’re feeling bold, start with your kitchen. This is a great place to get rid of a thousand things. You don’t need as much as you think you do for your daily cooking, and you can combine uses for much of it.

ESSENTIAL READING
If someone asked me what the best book is on daily Christian living, I’d have to say Renovation of the Heart by Dallas Willard. Dallas had a huge influence on the Christian world. He was an amazing author and speaker. If you’ve never read anything by him, start with this book. If you’ve read it, I’d suggest reading it again. I’ve read in four times and plan to read it again before the year is over. That’s how packed it is with wisdom. As a bonus, it’s often free on Audible.
N
NOTION
Talk to your kids about the dangers of debt. It won’t be one conversation, it will be many conversations over their time living with you. When you see a situation that you can use for teaching debt dangers, use it! Teach your kids that often the people who look rich are just in a lot of debt, and the people who are actually rich don’t look rich by worldly standards.

TRAVEL TIP
Use all of the travel tools out there. Tools like Skyscanner are great for finding the best flights. But it’s also important to know that when you’re looking for flights, open a private or incognito browser to do so, or you’ll notice the prices increasing with every search. And book your tickets within the right window. Too far out or too close to time will both cost more. Skyscanner says 2-3 weeks in advance is best for travel within the continental US, but the best time to book international journeys is 5-6 months in advance. In general, the cheapest month to book those plane tickets is January, followed by February and then August.
S
SCRIPTURE
“And Jesus answered them, ‘Truly, I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what has been done to the fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ it will happen. And whatever you ask in prayer, you will receive, if you have faith.'”
Matthew 21:21-22
Closing Question
Are there any boundaries you need to set in relationships that you haven’t set yet? Remember, sometimes boundaries need to apply to family.
