It’s not uncommon for someone to start a children’s finance blog (or any blog), write some good posts, and then disappear off the face of the earth. It’s easy to spot when you go to a blog and see that their last post was right around the time internet was invented.
I’ve found some really great Christian and family finance blogs, while filtering out the ones that were updated while Lincoln was in office.
First, there are a few finance blogs that I read regularly. These are good for everyone, regardless of whether you’re single, married, with kids, no kids, or whatever stage in life.
Handling Money God’s Way
I found the best Christian finance blogs that update regularly, and stick to God’s Word.
- Amy Loves It
- Bible Money Matters
- Christian Finance Blog
- Crosswalk Finances
- Dave Ramsey
- His and Her Money
- Luke1428
- Personal Finance Journey
- Provident Planning
- Seedtime
- Sound Mind Investing
Raising Money-Smart Kids
There aren’t many finance blogs to help your children – that’s why I started this one! But there are some good sources out there. This is what I’ve found so far…
- Biz Kids
- Compound Their Interest
- FamilyEducation
- Family Finance Favs
- Freedom Sprout
- The Heavy Purse
- National Bank of Mom
- Teach My Kids Money
Family Traveling
My goal here was to include travel blogs that include the financial side. Most travel blogs talk about money once every few years, but these are primarily focused on how to afford the ability to travel.
Smart Family Spending
All of the best finance blogs are specifically designed for families.
- $5 Dinners
- Debt Discipline
- Family Balance Sheet
- Family Finance Mom
- Family Money Plan
- Lemon Blessings
- Mom and Dad Blog
- Mum’s Money
- Passive Family Income
- Penny Pinchin’ Mom
- The Spreadsheet Dad
- Your Family Budget
More Essential Blogs
These 10 blogs don’t really fall specifically into a category above, but they must be mentioned on any finance blog listing. These are the places I spend the most time reading online.
- Budgets Are Sexy
- Financial Samurai
- Get Rich Slowly
- Good Financial Cents
- InvestmentZen
- Making Sense of Cents
- Money Crashers
- Part-Time Money
- The Simple Dollar
- Wise Bread
I didn’t want to include this blog in the list, since their focus is so specific on real estate, but it’s important to mention: Bigger Pockets. It’s the best real estate blog on the internet, hands down.

Thanks for including us Kalen!!
Absolutely! It wouldn’t be a list of Christian finance blogs without Seedtime!
This is such a good list. Thanks for putting this together. I’ll be sure to share it!
Absolutely! I appreciate you!
Such a great compiled list! I’ve been needing to find other family finance bloggers to follow, so this is a perfect starting point for me!
Hey Nicole,
Awesome, I’m glad you enjoyed it! I couldn’t find a list like this elsewhere, really, so that’s why I created it. I’m always looking to meet other family finance bloggers.
Thank you so much for including me! It’s an honor to be included among such an awesome list of resources.
Hey Meghan,
Absolutely! You belong on this list! 🙂

Amazing blog! Do you have any suggestions for aspiring writers?
I’m planning to start my own website soon but I’m a little lost on everything.
Would you suggest starting with a free platform like WordPress or
go for a paid option? There are so many choices out there that
I’m totally confused .. Any ideas? Thanks a lot!
WordPress all the way! I’d suggest paying the few bucks a month and starting a self-hosted blog as opposed to WordPress.com blogging. If you’re interested, check out Siteground’s WordPress hosting here (aff link). That’s what I use and love!
